Ken Montenegro

About

Ken Montenegro has over 20 years of technology experience having worked broadly as in-house staff and a consultant. Currently, he is the Technology Director at the historic Center for Constitutional Rights in New York City. Previously, he was the Information Technology Director at Asian Americans Advancing Justice Los Angeles. In addition to traditional technology work, Ken has a diversity of experience in organizational security.

Ken has worked extensively on migrant rights and stopping state-violence (especially surveillance). A graduate of Peoples College of Law, he is current Vice President of the National Lawyers Guild. 

Ken is a board member of MayFirst Movement Technology as well as of NTEN.

Ken is part of the Guatemalan and Ecuadorian diasporas. Originally from Los Angeles, CA; he now lives in Queens, NY.  When he isn’t working, Ken enjoys learning about systems, supporting social movements, listening to music, and reading.
