Kattie Fan

About

As a double master degree holder with a background in creative media and cultural studies, Kattie is a digital producer, cultural researcher, and a co-founder of the art.ware – an independent curatorial initiative focusing on the promotion of moving images and new media art in Hong Kong since 2010. 

Since 2015, Kattie is the festival director of ifva, founded by the Hong Kong Arts Centre. ifva is one of the most established festivals in the region, recruiting over 2000 short films, animations and media artworks each year from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Iran, Israel and many other Asian countries. ifva has a strong belief in independent spirits and a mission to uncover the new generation of filmmakers and artists at the intersection of arts, culture, technology, and society.
